  • Key Responsibilities

    • Devise and project manage creative Marketing Communications campaigns for stakeholder (Investor, Partner, Influencer) audiences.
    • Support the Director, Marketing and Director, Communications in devising the global Marketing Communications Strategy and build a close collaboration with the existing Senior Manager, Marketing Communications counterpart to deliver excellence in output and team performance across our diverse portfolio.
    • Be responsible for the performance and strategic execution of Girl Effect’s corporate website and global digital channels (working with the Digital Specialist, Marketing Communications).
    • Create content for use across Girl Effect’s owned channels and external media and social media outlets, working with partner agencies and suppliers.
    • Strategic Marketing Communications lead for specific Girl Effect brands and products (based in-country and globally), acting as main relationship holder with the relevant teams, to build profile, events and plans as part of the global calendar and providing counsel and support to wider teams as appropriate
    • Collaborate closely with Fund Mobilisation and Partnerships team to deliver marketing collateral tailored for their audience needs and deploy smart marketing techniques for building targeted awareness and influence.
    • In conjunction with Girl Effect’s Evidence and Gender teams, communicate Girl Effect impact and learnings through owned and earned channels.
    • Monitor and drive Marketing Communications effectiveness and learning through regular reporting and optimisation of activities.

    Skills and Experience

    • Established experience in Marketing Communications, ideally with some in-house
    • Track record of devising and delivering creative integrated communications campaigns in all media in the development or private sectors
    • Fantastic project management skills
    • Strategic thinker and planner, with great analytical skills - particularly in digital
    • Proven track record in delivering high quality creative outputs and highly tuned creative judgement.
    • Experience working with senior leadership teams / board members
    • A clear and powerful communicator
    • A collaborative, adaptable and resourceful team player - able to build relationships and thrive in complex, unfamiliar and changing environments
    • Culturally aware and respectful - curious and sensitive about the cultures in which we operate
    • Ability to work effectively in multicultural teams with varying expertise, skills and backgrounds
