CHARLESTON, W.Va. (AP) — A West Virginia woman who owns a studying centre for youngsters with autism has been selected as the U.S. Modest Business enterprise Administration little company individual of the year.
Jill Scarbro-McLaury is the first person in West Virginia to get the award, Gov. Jim Justice’s office stated.
“Her devotion to a superb lead to and her capabilities as a small small business operator are an inspiration to us all, and I could not be far more very pleased to congratulate her as West Virginia’s first-at any time winner of this nationwide award,” Justice stated in a statement.
The West Virginia Little Company Growth Center submitted Scarbro-McLaury’s nomination for the award.
Scarbro-McLaury, who is also an educator, owns Vibrant Futures Understanding Services in Winfield.
“This award validates that having care of individuals is generally the right detail to do,” she said.
Scarbro-McLaury was named the 2022 West Virginia Smaller Business enterprise Particular person of the Calendar year in April. She also earned the SBA’s West Virginia Lady-Owned Little Enterprise of the Calendar year award in 2019.
