Man arrested for allegedly hitting woman with chair, woman retaliates with gun

RICHMOND, Va. — A guy was arrested Thursday morning for allegedly hitting a female with a chair, Richmond Police said.

The female was reportedly leaving a company in the 400 block of West Broad Street all-around 10:30 a.m. when the gentleman — who she didn’t know — approached her.

Law enforcement explained there was some type of confrontation in between the two ahead of the person allegedly hit the female with a café chair. That’s when the female took out a gun and reportedly started to shoot at the person, who started out running away together West Wide Street.

Police mentioned the girl got in her automobile, and then went immediately after the gentleman, driving east in the westbound lanes of visitors.

A witness notified Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU) Law enforcement about the incident, and the girl was detained when she stopped at Adams and West Broad Streets.

VCU sent out an inform about the pictures fired, and the campus was briefly on lockdown.
