More victims come forward against an alleged fake masseuse

Hillsborough County Sheriff’s Office detectives claimed more victims arrived forward Friday in opposition to a man proclaiming to be a masseuse who allegedly sexually battered at minimum just one customer.

Thursday, detectives stated a woman struggling from back again agony contacted Jose Garcia, 68, about acquiring a massage in late March. Following agreeing to a rate for his companies as a masseuse, deputies said the victim drove to Garcia’s home in Ruskin, in which he operated.

Detectives reported he admitted to sexually battering the lady for the duration of the massage and is experiencing 4 counts of sexual battery.

Detectives did not find evidence that Garcia is a certified masseuse. He claimed that he received his instruction in Mexico. It’s believed that he has presented therapeutic massage providers for at the very least 12 a long time and has run his small business as a result of term of mouth out of his house. Most, if not all, of his purchasers, communicate only Spanish.

“This is a person, who took benefit of people who came to him looking for assistance for their ailments,” stated Sheriff Chad Chronister. “Our concern now, is that there are extra victims out there who could not discuss English or know they can arrive forward to report these crimes. With the two additional victims coming forward, Garcia faces further rates of sexual battery, battery, and 3 counts of unlicensed massage observe.
