VERO Seaside — A woman injured Saturday early morning in a meals truck explosion at the Vero Seashore Seafood Pageant remained hospitalized Sunday, a Vero Seashore police spokesman stated.

The 53-calendar year-outdated Port St. Lucie female sustained significant burns to her arms and legs through the incident, which transpired just ahead of 9 a.m., stated Master Officer Darrell Rivers.

“Prior to the explosion, some witnesses recommended that there was a smell of propane prior to her heading within the foods truck,” Rivers explained Sunday.

Rivers mentioned the female remained hospitalized Sunday. She was flown to a burn unit in Orlando for remedy.
