A second Starbucks cafe in Mesa, Arizona, has voted to unionize, continuing the espresso chain’s shedding streak as its baristas arrange.
On Tuesday, staff at a Starbucks place in Seattle voted unanimously in favor of a union, working a blow to the corporation in its personal hometown.
The Crismon and Southern place in Mesa is now the eighth corporation-owned U.S. Starbucks cafe to vote to unionize. That tally involves a further Mesa spot and 6 Buffalo, New York-place stores. Only 1 location that has held an election has voted in opposition to unionizing beneath Personnel United, an affiliate of the Services Staff Global Union.
