CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD)- Jessica Paulsen was traveling to Charleston for the 1st time on Sunday when she statements she was denied entry to a downtown retail outlet because she had her company puppy with her.
Paulsen reported she was strolling together King St. with her cardiac provider dog, Henry, when she made a decision to end by a community chocolate store identified as The Chocolate Orangerie. When she tried out to enter the retail outlet, she said the proprietor “aggressively” stopped her and claimed the doggy “wasn’t a provider doggy.”
“I stood there surprised for a next,” she said. “My only assumption was that she seemed at me and was like ‘oh she’s high-quality, that can not quite possibly be a services dog.’”

Paulsen has a problem named Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS) which leads to significant heart level and particularly lower blood tension and can direct to unexpected fainting or nausea.
She explained Henry is skilled to aid her with her condition and goes everywhere you go with her.
“He has what’s called a purely natural alert,” she claimed. “He is able to warn me to that prior to it takes place. He can also retrieve my husband by name and retrieve random men and women if it was to at any time take place to me in a store.”
The Sunday incident was only the next time she explained she’d been denied entry to a retail store with Henry.
